Bringing back our loved ones to the church where they belong
Choosing burial or cremation is a very personal decision. The wishes of close family members should be considered because they will live with the decision and with the memories of the loved one.
Billy Graham wrote, “At the resurrection it will not make any difference whether a person’s body has been buried or cremated…The new body of a Christian will be a radically changed and glorified body like the body of the exalted Christ.” It will be an eternal spiritual body never again to experience weakness, disease, suffering or death.
1 Corinthians 15:35-54
What does it cost?
Each niche will accommodate two urns and costs $1500 per niche. The name of the deceased and dates of birth and death will be engraved on the granite niche covers at no additional cost. The price of a niche will be adjusted in the future as necessary.
The cost of cremation will vary according to the funeral home and services chosen. Basic service currently can be obtained for less than $1000.
The use of the church and the provision of Maresh Hall for reception following the memorial service are all part of keeping the church central in life and death.
There is no more fitting place for the remains of a Christian than a columbarium on his or her church grounds. Set in these peaceful surroundings, it is also a place for quiet meditation.
